Chuck Haselwood's journey from a sectarian ranch in Ellensburg to a renowned businessman and neighborhood leader in Bremerton is a testament to his willpower and business spirit. Born in 1923, Chuck's tale started with a bold decision to leave the farming life and hitchhike to Bremerton, where he began his career functioning at a gas terminal. His solution in World Battle II under General Patton just developed his drive, leading him to enter the used vehicle organization after returning home. Partnering with Danny Jones, Chuck launched his own gasoline station and sold cars and trucks, at some point developing a lasting partnership with Bud Higgs to produce Chuck & Buds-- an auto dealer that focused on customer care, using service warranties unusual at the time.

Chuck's relentless drive for innovation led him to increase his organization beyond used cars. Chuck's tradition lives on not just in the vehicles he marketed, yet in his deep commitment to his area, which continues to thrive in Kitsap Region today.
